Simpletype Studio

Boring is a new artistic goods company from Chicago founded by photographer Robert Robbins and myself in 2017. We have collaborated professionally (and personally) on creative projects for close to 15 years, and felt it was time to put our own visual language on a product line. Presently we offer home goods, wearables, art prints and skate decks with plenty of new product concepts to come. I designed the identity and brand as an homage to a bygone era in Chicago (i.e. the water tower), as well as utilizing our photography and painting palettes. We also both just happen to dig the red, black and white color palette. Our website is currently in development.
